Bevor die Menschen an einen anderen Ort ziehen, senden sie jemanden voraus, um einen geeigneten Platz zu suchen. Sie nennen sie "Spione". Denn sie glauben, daß die erste Person die dort hin geht, sterben wird. Sie glauben, daß das Land den ersten als ihr Opfer nimmt. Deswegen suchen sie sich den ältesten unter ihnen aus, um loszuziehen. So fangen sie an sich umzusiedeln. Mr. Bob

Before people move to another place, they send some people to go around and look for a suitable place. They call them "spies". The first person to move there, they believe, this first person is going to die. Or they take it as the land is going to use that first person as a sacrifice.
