When the drums came, they thought, now we can use this drums for
sending messages.
I mean, if you are speaking, you will not speak on the same level,
sometimes you have to raise your voice according to the words.
So they started to make this drums according to the way we speak.
They made a female voice, and then a male voice. And this is what
they used to send messages.
So when today everybody is going to the farm and unfortunately
a wild animal or some dissidents come to the village, then you
have to beat this drum.
We have some words that you have to play on this drum to know
that something serious has happened or is happening and that they
should come back from their farms, come and help.

Als die Trommeln erfunden wurden, kamen sie darauf, sie zu nutzen,
um Nachrichten zu übermitteln.
Wenn man spricht, dann spricht man nicht mit monotoner Stimme.
Manchmal erhebt man seine Stimme um seinen Worten Ausdruck zu
verleihen.
Also machten sie die Trommeln, so wie sie redeten. Sie machten
eine weibliche und dann eine männliche Stimme.
Wenn also heute jemand aufs Feld geht und unglücklicherweise ein
wildes Tier oder Feinde ins Dorf kommen, dann wird die Trommel
geschlagen.
Wir haben einige Worte, die man auf der Trommel spielt, damit
alle wissen, daß etwas Schlimmes passiert ist, und daß sie von
den Feldern zurückkommen müssen, um zu helfen.
